MAAF is a new Charitable Incorporated Organisation being founded in association with Mendip Activity Centre.

Mendip Activity Centre is a year-round multi-activity centre near Bristol.
The mission of MAAF is to make adventure accessible to all. In order to do this we have three main targets;

  • To make adventure accessible to everyone with additional needs

  • To work with our partners to make the outdoor world accessible underrepresented groups

  • To work with the Woodland Trust and our local community to re-wild parts of the Mendip Hills AONB

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

​

  • This is very much the beginning of our journey and to begin with the role will be one day a week, but we are hopeful that the right person will be able to build and drive the Foundation so that it can self-support a full-time member of staff.  

  • We are looking for someone who will begin to drive our fundraising and work with us to develop/target areas where we can make a difference.

  • The delivery of any projects will require some administration and communication with delivery partners and funding recipients.
     

Expected skills and qualifications

​

  • Previous experience working in the charitable sector

  • Knowledge of funding applications

  • Great communication skills

  • Good organisational skills

  • Effective time management skills

  • Confident speaking to clients face to face

  • GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths and English

Desirable skills and qualifications 

​​

  • Clean Driving License

  • First Aid Certificate

  • Enhanced DBS - YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE AN ENHANCED DBS. This role involves working closely with children and adults will require an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
