
OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR JOBS
Mendip Adventure is looking for motivated, passionate and brilliant instructors to take on outdoor instructor jobs roles within Mendip Activity Centre, Mendip Outdoor Instructor Training and SUP Bristol. We have a number of roles available including for those just starting out and experienced outdoor instructors with higher-level qualifications.

We have an onsite campsite where seasonal staff can camp or live in a van/caravan.
Seasonal Outdoor Instructor
Location: Mendip Hills National Landscape near Bristol/Cheddar
Contract: Fixed Term (6 months)
Start Date: 6th April 2026
Salary: £25,400-£28,150 (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Mendip are looking to employ an outdoor instructor with a Rock Climbing Instructor qualification. This is a seasonal contract witht he potential to become full-time.

Your attitude and personality is paramount to us. We’re looking for someone who has a positive outlook, professionalism, promptness and who works well under pressure. You’ll possess strong communication skills, and excellent presentation skills and enjoy a varied and challenging programme.
Required Qualifications

Rock Climbing Instructor

Paddlesport Leader/Coach/Instructor

Cave Leader (with Mendip caves)

D1 Licence + CPC

Ski/Snowboard qualifications such as BASI L1 / SSE L1 +

DofE Supervisor/Assessor
Other Desirable Skills

Knowledge of team development and initiative exercises

Bushcraft experience

Lead Outdoor Instructor
Location: Mendip Hills National Landscape near Bristol/Cheddar
Contract: Full time (12 months a year)
Start Date: 7th September 2026
Salary: £27,550 to £29,250 (dependent on qualifications) plus a £1,500 bonus (paid after 1 months)
Mendip are looking to employ an experienced outdoor instructor with advanced-level qualifications to work on our outdoor instructor training courses.
About You
Your attitude and personality is paramount to us. We’re looking for someone who has a positive outlook, professionalism, promptness and who works well under pressure. You’ll possess strong communication skills, and excellent presentation skills and enjoy a varied and challenging programme.
You must have at least three years experience in the industry.
