Mendip Adventure has been recognised as one of the UK's Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers. This award highlights the long-standing commitment to developing the next generation of outdoor leaders and adventure professionals.

About the Top Apprenticeship Employers Award

These national rankings recognise employers that deliver outstanding apprenticeship programmes and provide an exceptional experience for their apprentices. The rankings are based on successful completions, commitment to the programme (particularly for young people), and feedback from apprentices themselves.

Mendip Adventure is the only Travel & Tourism business to feature in the top 50, and the only outdoor activity provider to receive this recognition.

Apprenticeships have been part of Mendip Adventure for over 30 years.
"This recognition means a huge amount to everyone at Mendip Adventure. Developing the next generation of outdoor instructors is a fundamental part of who we are. One piece of feedback that really stands out is that every apprentice who completed a review said they would recommend Mendip to a friend. That is something we're especially proud of"

Dave Sears, Apprenticeships Coordinator

Over 30 Years of Apprenticeships

For more than 30 years, apprenticeships have been at the heart of Mendip Adventure. Working in partnership with South Devon College, the Mendip supports between five and eight apprentices each year. Many progress into permanent roles across the business.

David Eddins, Mendip Adventure's owner and CEO, began his own career as a Mendip apprentice in the 1990s, before going on to lead the business. His journey reflects the long-term impact and success of the apprenticeship programme.
