New "Mendip Adventure" Zone Launching at the North Somerset Show

Mendip Activity Centre is bringing something completely new to this year’s North Somerset Show, with the launch of the Mendip Adventure Zone. Opening at the 2026 show on Monday 4th May, this exciting new area will give all adventurers the chance to jump straight into outdoor fun in the heart of one of Somerset’s best-loved annual events.

At the new Mendip Adventure Zone, visitors can try 10 exciting activities throughout the day. From scaling the Rock Climbing Tower, to gathering round the campfire to toast s’mores, to putting precision and nerve to the test with Archery, Air Rifle, and Axe Throwing, there will be plenty to get involved with. Families and groups looking for something more fast-paced can also dive into the action with ArcheryActive, Nerf and Gel Fire Battles, and Frisbee Golf.

The North Somerset Show is well known for its packed programme, including livestock and horse showing, blacksmith competitions, craft stalls, and much more. This year, Mendip’s brand-new Adventure Zone adds an extra reason for families to make a day of it, combining the tradition of the show with a unique outdoor experience that visitors will not find anywhere else on the showground.

The North Somerset Show takes place on the first bank holiday Monday in May, Monday 4th May 2026. Gates will be opening at 8.30am, free parking is available, and tickets are on sale in advance. Visitors are encouraged to book early and get ready to try a new adventure at this year's North Somerset Show.
