In September 2024, Liv Morledge competed in the Annual Junior Inter-Counties Archery competition in Bristol and came first. She took the gold medal, making her the best U16 female archer in the South West of England.
Liv Aims to Compete at Archery in the 2028 Olympics
After taking up the activity as a hobby on a family adventure holiday, local secondary school student Liv discovered that she had a natural skill for Archery. Mendip Activity Centre has sponsored Liv throughout this year recognising her hard work, dedication and skill.
Liv said: “Archery is my absolute passion in life and I shoot and train altogether six times a week and my aim this year is to be selected for Archery GB’s National Age Group Olympic performance pathway. It’s my dream to make it to the Olympics one day and I’ve got a busy year ahead with lots of competitions coming up and I’m really looking forward to improving and getting selected."
Aim for Target Sport Talent
Archery is one of many Target Sports that families and individuals can try at Mendip Activity Centre. Mendip recently opened brand new Air Rifle and Archery Target Sport ranges and refurbished their Woodland Axe Throwing ranges.
