Mendip backs Every Child Needs Christmas campaign during their Gift Voucher Sale

Mendip Adventure is proud to announce its support for the inspiring Every Child Needs Christmas campaign for 2025. This much-loved local initiative is run by community champion Sara, also owner of The Bentley Road Bakery in Wick St Lawrence. It aims to ensure that underprivileged children across North Somerset receive thoughtful Christmas gifts each year.
Since the campaign first began, more than 70,000 donated gifts have been delivered to families who need them most. This incredible achievement is made possible by the generosity of local people and businesses, along with the dedication of the volunteers, community networks and organisations who work together to distribute every gift.
How can you donate gifts?
As part of our commitment to supporting the local community, Mendip Activity Centre's reception is acting as an official drop off point.
Pleaase donate brand new gifts for children aged 0 to 16. Gifts should be around the £5 to £10 mark and dropped into the collection box at Mendip by Sunday 7 December.
Teams from North Somerset Children's Centres, social care networks, foodbanks, trusts and partner organisations will carefully wrap and distribute all donated items to families across the region.
Helping young people experience adventure
Alongside collecting gifts, Mendip Adventure will be donating 25 Adventure Gift Vouchers to the campaign, offering a selection of exciting activities to help local children experience something new.
From Rock Climbing and Skiing to Archery, Tobogganing and Kayaking, the gift of adventure will help spark confidence, joy and adventure for children who may not otherwise have the opportunity.
